| How do I preview my Certificate of Completion? When I click preview, it brings up the test or survey. | To preview the Certificate, make sure you click on the small "Preview" button located below the Certificate Contents section; not the "Preview" at the bottom left of the screen. |

| What is the difference between test questions and survey questions? | Test questions have only one correct answer. The respondents' answers are compared to the answers that you designate as being correct. Survey questions have no right or wrong answers. | When I email a test to myself and then click the link, nothing shows up in the browser window. What should I do? | This can happen with some email applications. The solution is to save the HTML test file to disk, then open it. |

| What is a Certificate of Completion? | PROTASM can automatically generate and send a Certificate of Completion to test respondents who meet or exceed your required percentage of correct answers. The Certificate of Completion immediately informs users of their score and can be printed by the recipient. You determine the passing grade, the style and content of the certificate. |
| Once users complete my survey, can they be automatically directed to my website? | Yes. The custom redirect feature is available with the Full Version of PROTASM, but not with the Trial or Free Versions. |
| What are User Groups? | User Groups are simply a way for you to assign the people who take your tests or surveys into easy to manage groups. For example, a teacher may create a User Group called History 101 - 1st Period and History 101- 2nd Period. These User Groups would represent the students in their 1st period history class and the students in their 2nd period history class. Another example would be a business with multiple shifts. They could assign employees to User Groups entitled 1st Shift and 2nd Shift. |
| If I have several categories of users to whom I am distributing surveys or tests, how can I keep track of which users get which documents? | You do not have to keep track - PROTASM keeps track for you. All you have to do is create User Groups and assign individual users to each group. When you distribute a test or survey to a User Group, the individual results for that document are stored together. You can view the results as a whole or view the results for each individual user. |
| Can I customize the look and feel of my survey with my company colors? | Yes, and you can add your company logo as well. PROTASM lets you fully customize every aspect of the appearance of your tests and surveys. You can add background images, choose colors for each of the test or survey sections (header, footer, questions, answer choices, etc.), specify text fonts, colors, sizes and so on. If you are unsure of your design skills, you can choose from among the many pre-made style templates available with PROTASM or borrow one from another PROTASM user. |
| How do I download a template designed by another PROTASM user? | <p>You will need to log in to the Community section of the site in order to browse the templates that are available. When you find a template that you want to use, click "Download."</p> |
| How do I upload my templates to share with other PROTASM users? | <p>First, you must be a member of the online community in order to upload templates. If you have not previously done so, please <a href="http://protasm.com/register/">register</a> to become a member. | How do I grade my test results? | You don't. The PROTASM Results Viewer automatically grades the test results for you. The Results Viewer also compiles the results into charts and graphs for you to view and analyze in numerous ways. |
| Is there a monthly or yearly subscription for the software? | No, there is no subscription. There is a low one-time cost for the Full Version of the software. The Trial Version and Free Version are available to you at no cost whatsoever. |
| On Step 2, Adding Questions and Answers, my question does not show in the Questions List after I type in the answers and click "Close." Why is my question not saving? | <p>In order for the question to save, you must click "Add Question" after each and every question. After entering your last question, click "Add Question" and then "Close."</p> |
| How is the question type "constant sum" used? | <p>An example of constant sum would be asking users to identify how they spent their day. You would list different activities and they would assign percentages to each activity based on how much time is devoted to that activity during their day. The total percentage for all activities must equal 100%. For example:</p><ul><li>Sleeping - 25%</li><li>Working - 30%</li><li>Relaxing - 25%</li><li>Driving - 5%</li><li>Other - 15%</li></ul><p>Your question might read "How do you spend an average work day?" You would list the activities, and the users would assign a percentage to each activity. </p><p>Another example would be asking users to identify what percentage of time they buy a certain product. For example:</p><ul><li>Breyers - 75%</li><li>Pet - 0%</li><li>Store brand - 10%</li><li>Mayfield - 5%</li><li>Other - 10%</li></ul><p>Your question might read "When buying ice cream, what percentage of time do you buy the following brands?" | If I distribute a test to my students, can PROTASM automatically inform them of their grade? | Yes. You can create a Certificate of Completion that will be automatically sent to all users with a passing grade. You determine the passing grade, and you specify the content and style of the certificate. |

| How do I borrow a style template designed by another PROTASM user? | PROTASM supports an online community of users who share style and certificate templates with one another. Community members upload templates they have created, allowing other users to download them. There is even a scale for rating uploaded templates. |

| What is the online community? | The PROTASM online community is a valuable resource. It allows you to share style and certificate templates you have created and download templates other users have created. You can display your templates on your own user page, view others' user pages, and rate each others' templates. Each time you submit a template, you acquire "activity points." From time to time prizes are given to the user with the most activity points. |
| Can anyone be a member of the online community? | Yes! You simply need to <a href="http://protasm.com/register/"><u>Register</u></a>. From then on, just login to the community features whenever you want. The Login|Register area is located on the Home page in the right hand column. |

| Why am I having trouble previewing my test and survey? | <p>In order to preview your tests, surveys and certificates correctly, you must have Javascript enabled on your computer. If you are using Windows XP and Internet Explorer as your browser, click on the yellow bar at the top of your screen (that appears after you click "Preview") and click "Allow Blocked Content." If you are using another browser, you will need to adjust your security settings to allow Javascript. </p><p /> |
| What is the Help System? | The PROTASM software has a built in comprehensive help system. At any point, while using the software, you can click on "Help" to review an explanation and/or instructions pertaining to the step you are currently completing. There are help files for every aspect of the software. |
